Paul’s Background
Paul Mangelsdorf, EIT, WELL AP has experience providing acoustical consulting services for a wide range of projects. While Paul has focused on the hospitality, themed entertainment, and residential sectors, he also has extensive experience with higher education, civic, and corporate institutions. Additionally, he has consulted on numerous historic renovations and adaptive reuse projects. Paul’s consulting philosophy focuses on clear and concise recommendations, and his design approach centers around simple, effective solutions that work with the architectural and visual intent for the space.
Paul received a B.S.E. in Acoustical Engineering and Music from the University of Hartford. He was awarded the Acoustical Society of America’s Robert B. Newman Medal for Excellence in the Study of Architectural Acoustics for his research into the acoustical transparency of an architectural facade. Paul has experience with projects pursuing LEED, WELL, and Green Globes certification, and has received certification from the International Well Building Institute as a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP). Before joining Arpeggio, Paul worked as a Consultant and Senior Consultant at Thorburn Associates, managing over 100 projects in 4 years with the firm. Paul is based in Raleigh, NC.
